An angry Kapil Sibal has stated that the Comptroller and Auditor General was only an accountant and he cannot criticize the 2G auctioning. Vinod Rai, CAG, who retired recently, had become a crusader in the fight against corruption. He had recently stated that the 2G auctioning conducted by the govt., last year was destroyed by the private mobile companies by forming a cartel among themselves. Kapil Sibla became very furious due to this and has said that the CAG ultimately was only an accountant and that be could not comment about the auction conducted by the government. Now, the question is, why Kapil Sibal should become so angry on Vinod Rai?  The CAG has only criticized the private telecom companies, and not the government or the minister. Is it because of the love that Kapil Sibla is having for the private companies? Or is it because Vinod Rai exposed the massive scams of the UPA govt., like the 2G, Coal Gate, Commonwealth, etc.?
