[11.02.2014]Central Govt. employees going on a two day strike – Extend solidarity action.
The Central Govt. employees are going on a 2 day strike, as per the call of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers. The strike will start from the midnight of 12.02.2014. The charter of demands, on which the Central Govt. employees are going on strike includes, (1) DA merger, (2) Interim Relief, (3) Grant of Civil Servant status and inclusion of GDS in 7th CPC, (4) Regularisation and revision of wages of casual labourers, (5) Rescind PFRDA Act and scrap new Pension Scheme, (6) Date of effect of 7th CPC 01.01.2014 and Five year wage revision in future, (7) Fixation of minimum pay based on Need-based minimum wage formula worked out by 15th ILC and modified by Supreme Court later, (8) Settlement of anomalies, (9)Implementation of Arbitration awards, (10) Five promotions, (11) Cashless & hassle free medical facilities, (12)Removal of restrictions on compassionate appointments, (13) Removal of bonus ceiling, (14) Stop downsizing, outsourcing, contractorisation, casualisation and privatisation, (15) Filling up of vacant posts, (16)Stop price rise and strengthen public distribution system, (17) Right to strike, vacate victimisations and revive JCM forums.
