Women BSNL employees of West Bengal Circle protest against
increasing crimes against women in the state...
On 25
th June, 2013, more than 300 women employees working in BSNL, gathered infront of CTO, Kolkata, under the
banner of BSNL Employees Union, and protested against the growing crimes against women in West Bengal. They
have come from CTO, TCO, Kolkata SSA, CGMTO, ETR and CGMTT, situated in and around Kolkata. They formed a
human chain, with placards in their hands and with their mouths bound with black ribbons. They raised slogans
demanding safety to women in the state and action against the criminals involved and in rapes and murders. Com.
Animesh Mitra, Dy.GS, Com. Banani Chattopadhyay, Organising Secretary, West Bengal Circle and others addressed
the protestors.
